This is what happens when you let your children help you cook..Brianna was tasting the cheese off the pizza, and when Savannah saw I was taking her picture, she joined in the act. Silly Girls!

Picture Perfect
Daddy got a firepit from Grandpa and Grandma
for Christmas..the girls LOVE going outside
to see the fire..any chance to escape the winter blues!
We went to Nana and Papa's house after Christmas to visit Samantha and Mary.FINALLY Brianna allowed Samantha to hold her without putting up a fight saying "mommy" all the time! No we are not suffocating a baby..Mary sat on Elliot's lap while we put this napkin on her head..she actually liked it because she never cried, but just looked around. We were all amused..even Savannah thought it was funny!
Cute as a button! This is our
beloved Mary who was hiding
under the blanket..don't know
why she'd wanna hide these good looks!
Daddy's southern belle eating a moonpie.. orange too in support of the vols! :) Brianna thought the floor needed a little cleaning!
Christmas Morning
Savannah is helping Daddy set up her and Brianna's VTech game system. Wonder who knows what's going on? Mommy is wondering who is going to clean up the mess when all is said and done. Brianna got a foam "dancing mat" as she and Savannah have named it. Brianna was testing it out singing ring around the rosy and looking at herself in the mirror in the middle! What a Merry Christmas it was with a breakfast of Scones..mmmmmmmmmmm yummy!
Christmas with Nana and Papa
The highlight of the day was Brianna following the dog saying "he's walking"
Savannah got her very own cooking supplies in a Hannah Montana tub. What fun she will have using all her own PINK utensils and cookbook! She bugged us all night and Christmas Day asking when she could cook..Daddy found a muffin mix that only called for milk..so strawberry muffins were the winner!
On Christmas Eve, Nana, Papa, and Gary T. came to eat with us and exchange gifts. WE always like to see them visit..Savannah was so excited to have them here the night before the "red claus" (this is what Brianna calls him) came to our house! She invited them to stay but of course they informed her they had to be at their house for Santa to stop by their house too!

Family Traditions
Before there were kids, who worried about traditions? It was just the 2 of us, enjoying the time together..but now as parents we want to instill memories for our children and we came up with stringing popcorn. It was a great idea..so we thought..Savannah got bored after a couple minutes, and well Brianna thought we were just making a huge bowl of popcorn to share with each other..so I ended up stringing the rest on what we thought was a good size string of popcorn..but when Daddy put it on the tree we realized just how long we'd have to continue to string the popcorn if was wanted a decent size garland! I think it will be a yearly event and by the time they're grown, the whole tree will be embellished in popcorn!! Maybe next year we'll string something they don't want to eat!
