Tara- I had one of those "motherly moments" that I have to share with the rest of the world! Savannah and I were at the breadstore last week and in the store was a young girl in a wheelchair. Most of the time when Savannah sees someone in a wheelchair, she stops, takes a moment to examine the individual, then points it out that "mommy he/she's in a chair like Gary T (my brother)..and then I have to tell her to say hello. This particular day was much different. When the mother pushed this young lady past us, Savannah put up her hand and said "HI!" with no hesitation. I teared up right there in the breadstore, leaned over, told Savannah thank you for not staring, and kissed her on the head. It's these times that you are thankful to be a mom, to have such a loving child, to know that yes you are raising your child right and to be righteous. Someone once told me at church that he didnt know me, didnt know Savannah, but that he knows one day she will be a great pillar in the church. I now truly believe she will be a great pillar for society with her angelic ways. I am grateful to God for allowing me to be a mother and experience these little moments that make all the bad days seem meaningless.
